Elie is a civil engineer who obtained a Master of Science in aerospace engineering at the Delft University of Technology. At first, Elie was responsible for quality management processes with suppliers and vehicle dynamics testing at BMW in Munich. Later, he developed an aircraft operational availability KPI for Airbus at Toulouse.
Elie has gained an extensive technical expertise in the emerging UAV market, being a flight test, production and quality engineer for one of the market leading companies. Within ASA Surveys, Elie handles marine and aviation claims, from complex machinery breakdown to cargo care, from helicopters to drones.
Elie is fluent in Dutch, English, French and German.
Martin obtained his master degree in nautical science at the renowned Maritime Academy in Antwerp. He started his career as Junior Officer and quickly became the youngest master ocean navigation in the Belgian marine industry. Through managing vessels for various cargo types, such as container transport, dry and liquid bulk, gas and general cargo, he built an enormous technical and operational knowledge in the marine industry.
He is active as principal surveyor since 1982 and followed multiple complementary courses such as LNG training. Martin is an active full member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying and member of the committee of the Gent Maritime Club. He also lectured stevedoring manipulations at several seminars. He handles all marine claims from hull over perishable products to civil responsibility.
Martin is fluent in Dutch, English, French and German.
Blanca started 16 years ago, she flew as an airline captain on among others Boeing 737 and 767. Next to being a flight instructor, she also instructed crews to meet industry standards in the airline business.
Later on, she became part of the management of one of the most performant Belgian airlines. As deputy director of flight operations, she was responsible for the lease-in and acceptance of aircraft. She worked for several years as a project manager for the management of the TUI Travel Plc Group, thereby gaining an enormous operational knowledge of airlines.
Blanca is experienced in cargo claims, responsibility claims, light and business aircraft claims and airliners.
She is fluent in Dutch, French, English, German, Spanish and has a good working knowledge of Portuguese.
Luc studied mechanics, specializing in ship building. Later on, he added business coaching, business management and obtained a Delphi diploma: leadership.
Furthermore, Luc gathered over 20 years of experience at the famous shipyard `Boelwerf` at Temse. He was involved in the building of offshore platforms after which he specialized in ship repair. Luc has been a marine surveyor for over 14 years specializing in ships hulls.
Wilfried obtained his master degree in nautical science at the Maritime Academy in Antwerp, after which he became a Master Mariner for 23 years. Ashore, he fulfilled various positions such as assistant general manager at a marine agency at the ports of Beira & Nacala - Mozambique.
Wilfried was also a marine and class surveyor. Later, he continued his function as surveyor in Antwerp at the department of ´Operations` at UBEM. Wilfried is a Marine & Cargo surveyor with over 25 years of experience.
Tess started her studies in art sciences in Bruges with emphasis on experimental multimedia techniques, restoration and art therapy. Afterwards, she studied western philosophy and psychology at the Ghent University.
As an art surveyor, she obtained experience in prevention and how to deal with various damages such as relocation damage and restoration. Next to her own contemplative artwork, she is author of various philosophical works and maintains `ASA Art` in the art gallery in Ghent.
